How I Make A Junk Journal in 5 Easy Steps

The term "Junk Journal" can mean different things to different creators. Some creators make mystical works of handmade journals that are highly decorated by adding all kinds of ephemera and folds and tuck spots to make a "chonky" journal. They are quite intricate and stunning and most beautiful indeed.

My version of a Junk Journal is a handmade journal that I write, draw and collect ephemera in on a daily basis. I like the eclectic look of vintage with a touch of modern design, which really represents my style. I like a journal I can easily transport wherever I go and then tie it closed until the next time I add to it. It's simple, yet beautiful. Practical, yet mystical in its own way.

In this YouTube video series, I show my easy 5 step process to get started making the foundation of a handmade junk journal.
